Ping Pong Summer is a warm coming of age comedy crowd pleaser which has been officially selected for a host of prestigious film festivals including Sundance, SXSW and now the BFI London Film Festival.

Synopsis

Ping Pong Summer has a fabulous cast of stars including Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, John Hannah and Back to the Future’s Lea Thompson.  

The year is 1985. Rad Miracle is a shy 13-year-old obsessed with two things: ping pong and hip hop. During his family's annual summer vacation to Ocean City, Maryland, Rad makes a new best friend, experiences his first real crush, becomes the target of local bullies.

It's then that he finds an unexpected mentor in his reclusive next-door neighbor (Susan Sarandon).    

Summer vacation time arrives along with... Rap music, parachute pants, rich bullies and eccentric mentors.  

Put these together and you get the Karate Kid of ping pong a romp from beginning to end, this is a movie with a real heart to enjoyed by a wide ranging audience.
